A New Start

Yes, I have been really neglecting this blog but I have made a decision to actively keep it updated. This time, however, things will be a little different. In addition to posting photos of recent sessions for my clients to get a quick peak at their session images early, this will also serve as a bit of a documentation of my photographic journey. It really is amazing how one experience (good or bad, photography related or not) can change how one sees the world and ultimately, how a photographer photographs the world. I want to share that with you.

One recent experience, which proved to be a phenomenally life changing one for me, was my recent vacation to Jamaica. This being my fourth time there, I had a much different frame of mind than previous trips this time around. I was there for something else, something I couldn't identify before I left. Once there, I realized that in order for me to start really appreciating my life, which is awesome, I had to start living in the moment. For anyone who has gone through this particular epiphany, you know how monumental this realization can be. In Jamaica, I really tried hard to not worry about what I had to do, who I had to see, what should be next, etc. and just take each moment and day as it was. I think I succeeded and now that I'm back in Canada, I hope to carry that with me.

Here are a few of my favourite shots from the trip.

And to myself, I say WELCOME BACK! I hope you'll stay tuned and return here for more updates.
